Woodbury Residence
A narrow, “reverse-walkout” lot in an established neighborhood required something more creative than a plan book design. The owners wanted an affordable, modest sized house that fit the site but had a lot of character.
The solution was a narrow, tall design with a garage and guest suite on the lowest level, living spaces above that, and bedrooms on the top floor. Exterior stairs draw visitors up to the main floor, where living spaces are arranged from the living room at the front to a private den and deck at the back overlooking the woods.
The owners built the house themselves including designing and constructing the cabinets.
