Deephaven Residence

The owners of this house admired the seaside homes of coastal New England and asked that we use that style as a starting point for the design of their new house on Lake Minnetonka. 

The design takes full advantage of the spectacular site and promotes the family’s enjoyment of the lake. 

The casual quality of the shingle clad exterior is continued inside with painted woodwork and maple and slate floors.  The main living spaces are gracious without being oversized, and are open to one another while still being individually defined. They all overlook the lake and enjoy easy access out to the large bluestone patio.
